VILLA TORTUGA

I'm sure we can sum up in a single word: Wow! From the moment we arrived until our departure, we were absolutely thrilled with our experience at Villa Tortuga, our group of two couples wanted a few days at the ocean to relax after some volunteer work in Nicaragua - and we opted to try somewhere north of the city of San Juan del Sur.

As we arived the amazing view that greeted us was a good foreshadow to the rest of our stay. Beautiful views, ocean sounds, nobody else around except the staff tending to the grounds and our requests. The villa itself would easily have accommodated a group twice our size and had all the amenities for a relaxing week. Fully stocked kitchen, multiple choices for eating areas both indoor and out, a private pool overlooking the ocean to spend the sunsets. Nothing more we really could have asked for.

I can't say enough good things about the villa, the staff, and the overall experience. We'll certainly be back and next time for a longer stay now that we know. This is my third time in Nicaragua and between Villa Tortuga and our favorite little boutique hotel in Granada  these have been the absolute highlights. Garrett, Canada

We stayed at this little paradise in Playa Maderas for six nights, and had the best time. Villas Playa Maderas is a really special place. The villa is with amazing outdoor areas all around the house, surrounded by nature. Great view of the beach.  We enjoyed days by the pool area, sunsets on the beach and cervezas at the beach bar at Playa Maderas. The staff at the residence attended to all our needs. If you will not stay here - you will make a mistake. The villa, location, atmosphere, nature is insane.  First time for many years I didn't want to leave. This story is not about brands (believe me I stayed a lot in such five star hotels). This is a true story about how to respect nature, to love your roots and the million dollar view. VILLA MARIPOSA

The location is spectacular with one of the best views of the pristine shore and almost private beach that I have seen. The administration is perfect. There are guards and gardeners around the property all the time so whenever you need something they will help. Make sure you don't forget anything. You will not be disappointed with the beauty !! This place is awesome. Playa Maderas is a fantastic spot to spend a few days. The surfing is obviously unreal, and it's close enough to San Juan del Sur to make a quick trip in for nightlife. The sunsets over the Pacific were incredible. The service at Villas Playa Maderas is excellent. When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised by a staff member who was waiting at the house to help unload our bags from the truck. This was followed closely by another staff member who gave us the lay of the land and asked if we needed anything else. Staff members came by throughout the day to clean the house and pool. There is security on duty 24/7. Everyone is friendly and happy to help. I can not recommend Villas Playa Maderas highly enough and am already looking to plan my next trip. Go there!!! VILLA PALMERA

By far best villa we have ever stayed in. Safe. Quiet. Secure. Beautiful. Close walk to 3 different beaches including Playa Maderas surf area. Sunsets were fantastic. Staff was friendly. We will definitely be back. Kory, California

Villa Palmera has a million dollar view, as does its neighbor, Villa Colibri. While the 2 villas share a beautiful infinity pool, the 2 villas are by no means on top of each other. Plenty of privacy. The steps down to the beach are easy to navigate and the beach is wonderful. Sometimes we were the only ones on it. We heard from our Colibri neighbors that the dinner prepared by staff was delicious (10 dollars plus groceries!). If you plan to do your own cooking, or prepare any meals, it would be a good idea to ask what is on hand in the kitchen. Typically, in the US, lodging with a kitchen has a few staples, but each country is different. The villa grounds are beautifully maintained (loved all the flowers close to our villa) and was cleaned daily by friendly staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - and I highly recommend to go there.

VILLA DELFIN

There are just no words to describe just how fabulous this property is. The location is likely the best on the entire coast, as it sits out on a promontory with unobstructed views all around and nothing underneath but the beautiful ocean and reef. The house itself is an absolute work of art, very recently finished with exquisite teak woodwork throughout. The doors open wide to allow the breezes to flow through. Even though we were there in a warm season (up to 90 degrees F), we never once were inclined to turn on the air conditioning.  Anything we needed as almost instantly delivered (water, groceries, etc.) Staying here is an experience of a lifetime. Words won't be able to describe how magical this place is. The villa is beautiful, sparkling clean and very well designed. We felt at home and didn't want to leave. The views are amazingly unbelievable. The beach is 2 minutes down the trail from the villa and there are restaurants 5 minutes away. (Shlomi, Israel)
